STEINWAY UPDATE No.1 March 2009 
The piano as it arrived in its original condition. March 2009. The casework looks nearly black but it is a very dark muddy brown colour.Underneath it is rosewood and once stripped should look fantastic.
The action in the piano will be rebuilt first. Already ordered are new Steinway hammers/shanks/wippens.
By the next update we will hopefully have stripped out the action and started on rebuilding it.
The left pic shows the strings and frame.The right picture confirms the poor condition of the action.
